Kevin Hunsblogger returns to the ‘best marketing conference’

MDMC18
My junior year of college I took a marketing class. I enjoyed it so much that I had considered adding marketing as a minor. But I was not focused on the future and took the easy way out, keeping the minor intact that I had nearly completed.
Fast forward to today and social media and digital marketing are a big part of our lives. I’ve been freelance blogging for a few years now and have added content creation to my resume recently. I love doing this type of work and that’s why I signed up for last year’s Midwest Digital Marketing Conference in St. Louis.
My buddy Tom Harness and his team from Harness Digital Marketing had been before and invited me to attend in 2017. Tom and I broke out of our respective comfort zones by donning suits from Shinesty/Opposuits. We were able to garner some attention while there, so much so that Tom has been invited to present during two sessions this year.
I’m excited to be heading back to MDM. There’s much more to learn, and this year I’m going to focus on branding. I’m still working to build both my brands; this one and the My 1-2-3 Cents (pro wrestling). I also want to work on building other side projects like Jittery Monkey Podcasting, Stride Pro Wrestling and The Craftbeericans.

I’ve got a new suit purchased and ready to go too. I’m looking forward to reconnecting with some of the folks I met last year and making new connections this year. Look for the guys in the crazy suits and let’s have a great conference.
