Not feeling it.

Confession time… Kevin Hunsblogger is burning out. I think there are a number of reasons and factors behind this. One is what appears to be a downward trend in the number of views my blogs are receiving. I have another blog called My 1-2-3 Cents on the platform Blogger. For years, I’d get thousands of hits each month. Now, according to Blogger’s stats, my posts are getting dozens of views instead.

I find this revelation frustrating as I spend a lot of time trying to stay consistent and posting new content on that page as well as this one. Has my reach changed that much on social media or are people simply tired of what I have to say?

I love creating content. Midway through 2018, I picked up a part-time job doing just that. Clients aren’t as into blogs as they were when I first started freelancing. I’m curious what trends are in other parts of the country.

If more time allowed, I’d be making more videos. And I really enjoy podcasting and plan to step up my game in that platform in 2019. However, I worry my niche is too specific with pro wrestling and that may be a cause for the dip. It’s a very crowded space so 2019 is going to be about separating myself from the pack not only with My 1-2-3 Cents but also Kevin Hunsblogger.

As I write this I feel like I’m rambling, maybe even complaining. I’m not… My hope is that others in the blogging world will see this and perhaps have some insight or be able to share similar experiences. Right now when it comes to blogging I’m just feeling blah…
