My headline for this blog post is a legitimate question. I’ll get more in depth in a moment. First though let me share a backstory. I’ve been blogging for quite a few years now, mostly though in the pro wrestling genre over on my other site, My 1-2-3 Cents. Kevin Hunsblogger has been around almost a year and focuses more on personal stories, parenting fails and my weekly GratiTuesday posts.

However, I don’t believe I’m providing anything to my readers with these posts. I love writing them and I do believe it helps me to connect with folks, but the lion’s share of my content comes from the heart. After listening to a recent podcast by The ProBlogger, I have decided I need to perhaps refreshen things up here.

So that’s where you come into the equation. The particular episode I listened to, which happens to be the first was about building influence and trust with your audience. I have seen Darren Rowse’s content on Facebook and Twitter and have even applied for and was awarded some freelance blogging gigs via his website.

During the 41 minute podcast, Darren talks about the importance of not just serving your need as a writer but finding out what your audience wants. It was then that I came to the realization that I’m not doing a good job at that. When it comes to my pro wrestling blogs, vlogs and podcasts, I’m not sure there’s much I can provide beyond some thoughts on the world of sports entertainment.

But I really want Kevin Hunsblogger to grow and thrive. As a reader of this blog (or any blog), what value are you looking for? What types of topics would you like to see covered here? My original intent in creating this page was to show potential clients that I can write about more than wrasslin’. I think I’m accomplishing that and want to cater to the content YOU can to see.
