Real Men Wear Pink

Last month, I participated in the Real Men Wear Pink fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. When I was contacted about doing this I was happy to help as cancer has impacted my family and friends, just like all of you.

I’ll admit, my goal originally was $1,000. However, when I went to set up my fundraising page it defaulted at $2,500 and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t change it. When it was all said and done, I raised $1,031. So I exceeded my intended goal but not the one that was published on the page. Either way, I’m happy with the outcome and enjoyed wearing pink each day.

I want to thank everyone who supported the cause with a donation or by sharing my post. Here’s everyone who contributed to the fundraiser. Special shoutout to Dav Glass from HackSI who donated more than half of the total I raised.

Again, I appreciate all the donations. I am taking a few weeks off from fundraising before Tom Harness and I start the Ugly Christmas Suit fundraiser. Honor Wreaths for Veterans will be the group benefiting this year. I’m excited for that to start on Giving Tuesday (Nov. 27).
